Does getting your wisdom teeth out hurt during the actual removal of them?

I am getting one of my wisdom teeth out next month (yes, just one) and I'm kind of nervous. I just don't know if it will hurt while they are taking it out. I'm going to be getting laughing gas and novocaine. I know it hurts after the fact, but I want to know if it will hurt while they are being removed.
